Minneapolis Climate Week is here

The work is happening — now is a good time to talk about it.

Find the schedule of events here: https://luma.com/mpls-cw. But more importantly, find each other at events.

Daily life in and around Minneapolis is disrupted right now. Some members of our community face heightened risk simply moving through public spaces. All members of our community, sadly, face heightened risks when doing the right thing.

If you feel safe showing up, we hope you’ll show up. If you feel safe moving as a group between events, we hope you’ll move as a group between events.

Dozens of events

Throughout the week, throughout the area. Find what interests you. Or if you’re not finding what interests you, add your own event — if you’ve made it this far, odds are your event will also be interesting to others. The calendar will remain open for new events through the end of the week.

bUt WHat eVENts ShouLD i GO to?

The best answer to that is within you.

The second best answer might be below (in roughly chronological order):

Let’s talk weather

Temperatures are expected in the teens and twenties early in the week, creeping up to the thirties later in the week. A veritable heat wave!

See you there?

The work matters. And talking about the work matters. But all of that can only matter in the context of community.

The challenges of an increasingly volatile climate are interconnected by nature. And while focus matters for executing plans, thinking that we can carve off individual problems and solve them in individual isolation will always be overwhelmed by complexity.

Hope you can join!

Best,
Matt

PS — mark your calendars for 1-5 February 2027!
