February ahead
Hello from Minneapolis. There’s a lot happening here. MPR News does good reporting. So do lots of other places.
Thank you for being part of this. Let’s get to it.
Event calendar
People are adding events on the main calendar, and will be able to add events up to and through the week. The week is built, and the work is done, by those who show up.
You might be asking yourself, what is a “climate week event”? Is my idea a “climate week event”?
The answer to the second question is yes! Here are real live examples to answer the first question:
Planning an event
There are lots of ways to start, one of which is to start. Tips that might help:
You can change anything and everything after creating an event. Start with the location TBD, update speakers, sponsors, goals, etc. Perfection may be nice, but progress is better.
You can create an event in Luma with a free account, keep the draft private while you get it ready to go over a few days, and then connect it to the main event calendar.
You can add questions to the registration steps to gather more information if you like. Where people are coming from, company websites, etc.

Temperatures are expected to be in teens to single digits Fahrenheit.

Want to talk about Mpls Climate Week 2027? Let’s do it!
Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes, a lake is 10+ acres of surface water, or about 6 soccer fields if they overlapped just a bit.
Looking forward to seeing what you do!
